I've been gardening my whole life. Learning from my family at first, I soon developed a keen interest in how things work in the natural world. Bachelors and masters degrees in plant ecology soon followed. Classes in botany and the interaction between plants and their environment made for interesting discussions with my mom, whether in the garden or hiking.

The past nine years I've been developing my own gardens in Edmonton and Victoria. Numerous magazines, books, courses and garden club meetings have consumed much of my spare time. Denise has provided garden coaching and landscape design consulting for private clients in Southwestern Ontario for over 15 years, sharing her knowledge and experiences.  She is a former educator at the college level and still looks forward to lecturing to local gardeners. Her passion for the horticulture profession has taken her on many trips to Europe where she has visited many formal and informal gardens. Denise has also worked as the Head Gardener at Rosebank in Lambeth, Ontario.

She is a graduate of the Landscape Design program at Fanshawe College, and has her Ontario Diploma in Horticulture from the University of Guelph. She also holds a Certificate of Achievement in Horticulture and Certificate of Achievement in Greenhouse Flower Production.
