What's New on Sustainable-Gardening
BIG LAWN SUBSTITUTION PAGE MAKES ITS DEBUT!
Finally it's altogether - the theory and practice of lawn substitution, with examples from all over the United States, stories of meadows for those with serious acreage, lots of contrary opinion, and where to go for more information. There are LOTS of new garden stories with LOTS of photos. Find it all here.

We welcome two first-time contributors from The Scott Arboretum in Swarthmore, PA:
- Curator Andrew Bunting writing about "Peat-Free Potting Soil"
- And Gardener Liz Haegele on Kitchen Composting"

New contributor Joe Lamp'l (joe gardener) offers:
- To Mow or Not to Mow is a fun comparison of Joe's own lawn with a "wise Master Gardener's" conversion to all-Mondo grass - very cool!
- The case for Grasscycling - going bagless for the environment.
- All about Integrated Pest Management or IPM.
