About Me
Let's see. I'm a Gardening Coach, GardenRant blogger, Master
Gardener, garden writer, and activist for urban and suburban greening. I'm not an actual horticultural expert, though, so my role on this site is as a writer and experienced gardener. I keep up with research findings and news and compile for readers the best information that's available on each subject (and if I'm missing something, let me know).
If you still want to know something about me, the details are in the links:
- My Garden Coaching has been featured in the New York Times, on "CBS Sunday Morning," and just about everywhere.
- My Sustainable Gardening Blog supplements the information on this site and occasionally goes on off-topic adventures.
- My column "The Gardening Coach" appears in two Maryland newspapers. My articles in magazines aren't on line, so you'll have to take my word for
it.
- I write and produce the rowdy, award-winning blog GardenRant with my co-conspirators, grinning in the photo right.
- I'm a co-founder and webmaster of DC Urban Gardeners and contributor to their blog, DC Urban Gardener News.
- I co-founded the Regional Garden Gurus, dedicated to providing online region
al gardening education. Check out my awesome partners.
- Watch my 10-part video about Creating and Maintaining a Sustainable Gardening.
- Or help yourself to a tour of my sustainable garden, located in the Washington, D.C. area, Zone 7A.
